Suspect arrested within minutes of shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police nab a shooting suspect after gunfire erupted.

Police were called to the 1400 block of West Grand Avenue Saturday around 10:30 a.m.

According to officials, the shooting stemmed from some sort of altercation in the backyard. Police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened.

According to the police report, 60-year-old Charles Byrd was shot.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect in a home next door, and they found the suspected weapon used in the shooting unloaded on his dresser.

Dorian Glenn, 25, was arrested for felonious assault.

No word on the victim’s condition.
