GREENE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is offering free firewood.

ODNR crews are removing ash trees affected by emerald ash borer from John Bryan State Park.

As the trees are cut down, the firewood will be offered for free.

Firewood will be available between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. starting December 22.

Log splitters are not allowed at the pick up, but chainsaws are permitted to help with wood removal.
