DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A 12-year-old walking to school escaped the jaws of a dog.

He told police he was walking in the 400 block of Burns Avenue to Emerson Academy on Hickory Street Friday around 7:30 a.m. when he spotted two dogs. He said one of them charged at him and bared its teeth. He told police he then ran back home with the dog chasing him. He got inside his house and told his father, who then took him to school.
