Driver arrested for OVI at checkpoint

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — One person was arrested for OVI following a sobriety checkpoint in Dayton.

The checkpoint was held in the 2100 block of North Gettysburg Avenue at Kings Highway Friday night.

According to officials 28 of the 415 cars that passed through the checkpoint were diverted. Three were tested for OVI and one was arrested. Three were cited for driving without a license, six were cited for driving under suspension, and one was cited for an accident.

Nearby saturation patrols stopped 28 vehicles, one of which was issued a citation for driving without a license and one for driving under suspension.
