DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A special ceremony paid tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes buried at national and state cemeteries.

The Dayton National Cemetery hosted Wreaths Across America Saturday, a holiday wreath-laying ceremony to honor our nation’s veterans.

The Civil Air Patrol, Veterans service organizations, and citizens helped coordinate the event to remember servicemen in each branch of the military this holiday season.

Volunteers placed wreaths at gravesites prior to the ceremony.

The Worcester Wreath Company has donated wreaths for veterans laid to rest at national and state cemeteries since 2006.
