Vacant home fire deemed suspicious in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Firefighters were called to a vacant house fire in Dayton Sunday night.

The fire started in the 2000 block of E. Fifth Street in Dayton at about 7:30 p.m.

Witnesses said flames were showing on both floors of the vacant home.

Peter Whitby, District Chief for the Dayton Fire Department, said they are deeming the fire suspicious.

No one was injured in the fire.
