BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – The Beavercreek Township Fire Department is adding to its ranks following a round of layoffs.

Nine full-time firefighters will be hired at Monday afternoon’s Board of Trustees meeting.

This comes after nine part time-first responders were let go a couple of weeks ago.

The department was made up of 27 full-time and 27 part-time firefighters, now every firefighter will be full-time.

This the first round of new hires.

The department will be filling 15 full time positions in total.
