DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The West Carrollton woman accused of embezzlement will visit her family at Christmas.

Attorneys for Amy Scarpelli received permission from the courts to allow her home detention be set aside long enough to celebrate the holiday with her family on December 25 and December 27.

Scarpelli already shared Thanksgiving with her family without incident.

She has been under house arrest since late October when she was released from jail on bond.

Prosecutors say she stole the money over four years while an employee of the bank.
