Man jumped in Super Duper lot

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are investigating after a man was jumped in the parking lot of a Dayton convenience store.

Officers were called to the 300 block of Maplewood Avenue Saturday after 9:30 a.m. to meet with the victim at his home following the attack.

The victim told police he was walking to the Super Duper store in the 3100 block of North Main Street Saturday when a man jumped out of a van, punched him in the nose, grabbed his money, and fled.

Officials said the victim suffered a compound break to his thumb and a cut on his nose.

He was transported to Grandview Hospital.

Police are still investigating.
