Man sent to hospital following home invasion

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man was sent to the hospital after being a victim in a home invasion.

Police were called to an apartment in the 2700 block of Wentworth Avenue Saturday morning.

The victim told officers three men knocked on his door and then attacked him. He said two of the men repeatedly kicked and punched him.

He said the suspects stole money from him and got away with about $100 before fleeing the scene.

The victim said one of the men had a gun.

His aunt and cousin drove him to Good Samaritan Hospital to be checked for his injuries.

Police are still investigating.
