Suspect scales scaffolding to break into business

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officers are investigating after someone broke into a Dayton business.

It happened at Artifex Custom Finishing Services, a building materials supplier, located at 32 Bates Street during the overnight hours.

When officers arrived Saturday morning, they met with an employee who said a suspect scaled the scaffolding and entered through an unlocked second story window.

Once inside, the suspect stole tools and a generator and then left through the front door.

Police are still searching for a suspect.
