NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) – The Tecumseh School Board has officially notified the Ohio Department of Education about the investigation into their superintendent, Bradley Martin.

The board submitted an educator misconduct reporting form that said Martin has been placed on leave pending an investigation into allegations regarding theft.

Ohio law requires any school district to report any possible misconduct. The Office of Professional Conduct will review the case.

The school board met Friday and released the following statement:

“The board met today to further discuss the employment, discussion of dismissal or discipline of personnel, and complaints against a public employee. We anticipate action will be taken at the board meeting scheduled on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.”

School board members say the possible thefts relate to missing IPads, funds from support groups like boosters, p-t-o, and the levy committee.

The Assistant Superintendent filed a possible theft report with the Clark County Sheriff’s office. They are investigating.
