Spray paint, fireworks mischief lands teens in trouble

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Some mischief lands four teens in trouble.

Police were called to the intersection of Deeds and Giles avenues Saturday just before 5 p.m. on reports of several teens vandalizing a building with spray paint and setting off fireworks.

Officers stopped a black SUV in the area with four juveniles inside.

Police said two of the teens had spray paint on their hands and face. Police reported finding spray paint and fireworks in the vehicle.

According to the report, one of the teens told police they weren’t tagging the building, but they were “using the spray paint to make the fire bigger for the fireworks.”

Officers found a building in the 1200 block of Deeds Avenue that was spray painted in four places.

The four juveniles were issued a summons arrest.
