Business and Buckeye fans go hand-in-hand

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Businesses are banking big on the Ohio State Buckeyes and their run to the college football national championship game.

Bars and restaurants in the Oregon District, temporarily renamed the Buckeye District, were running special offers for the big game.

“With us being part of the Buckeye District, the Dublin Pub is doing a ten dollar all-you-can-eat buffet,” said Gene Bowling, General Manager for the Dublin Pub.

Down the street, Wheat Penny Oven and Bar created a signature dish fit for Ohio. The staff is serving a burger topped with Cincinnati-style chili, cheese, and onions for the rest of the week.

No matter what is on the menu, Buckeye fans came hungry for food and a national championship. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
