DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A coin donation box at Kroger added up to more than $7,000 in the pocket of United Rehabilitation Services.

Kroger presented a check to Dennis Grant, executive director of URS.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to offering support to local organization,” said Sukanya Madlinger, President of the Cincinnati/Dayton Division. “Our coin box collection programs continue to be a very successful way for our customers to donate.”

Each district Kroger in the Cincinnati/Dayton market chooses the organization to benefit from the collection boxes.

The money collected from August 17 to November 8, 2014 went to URS.

URS assists more than 400 children and adults with special needs.

The check was presented January 7 at Kroger’s Austin Landing Marketplace.

WDTN is a proud supporter of URS.
