Dollar General employee victim of armed robbery

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are on the lookout for an armed man who robbed a Dollar General employee.

It happened after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Dollar General store located at 2312 North Main Street in Dayton.

According to officers, an employee stepped outside the store for a moment and was robbed at gunpoint. The suspect took an unknown amount of money from the worker and fled the scene.

Officers said they apprehended a man on Ernst Avenue who matched the description. Police later determined he was not the suspect.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 6’0″, wearing a puffy coat.
