BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – The mystery over the shutdown of a popular restaurant at The Greene is solved.

Beavercreek police say a bomb scare prompted the shutdown of the Brio Tuscan Grill over the weekend.

The restaurant was evacuated and blocked off by crime tape around 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

A K9 unit was brought in to investigate the threat, but nothing was found and the restaurant was opened back up for business.

A police spokesperson says the decision was made to “err on the side of caution and evacuate the restaurant.”

Police are now investigating to find out who called in the threat.
