New charges in beating of pregnant woman

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – New charges have been filed against a man accused of attacking a pregnant woman in Dayton.

Tanner Hopkins, 24, is now facing charges including murder, involuntary manslaughter and reckless homicide.

The woman ended up losing her baby after the attack last Tuesday on Edison Avenue.

At last check, she was in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Police believe Hopkins was the baby’s father.
