DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Trotwood woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to stabbing her estranged boyfriend to death.
Chantell Spears, 40, took a plea deal to reduce a murder charge to involuntary manslaughter. She was found guilty and sentenced to prison for the death of Delshaun Jones.
She admitted to stabbing Jones during an argument in July 2013. Police said Spears used a GPS device to track her victim to a house in Moraine.
Jones, 32, initially got away from his attacker, but died later at the hospital.
Spears was sentenced to eight and half years in prison and must pay $5,000 in restitution to the victim’s mother for burial expenses.
