DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Police are trying to piece together the events that led up to a triple shooting Tuesday night.
They say someone called 9-1-1 around 9:45 p.m. to report a shooting in the 2400 block of N. Gettysburg Ave. A few minutes later, they got a report of a shooting in the 4100 block of Merryfield Ave.
One of the victims was found on N. Gettysburg and another in the area of Free Pike and Fair Lane. Police say the third victim drove himself to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Investigators determined they were all shot at the Merryfield address.
We’re told one of the victims is in critical condition at Miami Valley Hospital. The other two men are in stable condition.
During their investigation, officers say they noticed bullet holes in the wall of the apartment where the shooting happened. When they went to check on the people in the adjacent apartment, police say they found evidence of possible drug or illegal liquor activity.
They requested search warrants for both units.
Police are trying to determine if there is any connection between the two.
