MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Miami County food pantries will hold a donation drive during Wednesday’s Troy-Piqua basketball game.

Everyone who donates at least one canned item for the varsity girls’ basketball game will get $1 off admission.

All food donations will go to various Miami County food pantries.

Our partners at the Piqua Daily Call say nearly 14% of Miami County residents are facing “food insecurity,” which means living below the poverty line or using federal assistance programs.

Wednesday’s game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Piqua High School.
