CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Clark County deputies are looking for a man they say impersonated a police officer.

According to deputies, on January 23, a woman was pulled over on Columbus Road near Croft Road by what appeared to be an undercover police officer.

The woman said the vehicle appeared to be a Ford Crown Victoria and had a red and blue flashing light on the dashboard.

Deputies said a man, between the ages of 18 to 25 years old, approached the woman and asked to see her license insurance card. The woman said the suspect told her she was pulled over for possible speeding.

The woman said the man asked to search her car, but then suddenly handed the license back to the woman and then left.

Deputies said no other agencies were conducting a traffic stop.

The man was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, a zip-up sweatshirt with a hood and a blue jeans.

If you have any information, call deputies at 937-328-2560.
