DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – One crash led to another in Dayton Wednesday morning.
Police say two cars crashed along Needmore Road at Wadsworth Road around 7:30 a.m.
As those two cars sat mangled, a third car crashed into them. That third car ended up on its side, but not before hitting a fourth car.
Sergeant Chris Colbert with the Ohio State Highway Patrol says if you’re involved in an accident and nobody is hurt — to move your car off a busy road.
“If your vehicle is not disabled and you have the ability to get it out of the roadway, get it out of the roadway.”
The driver of the car on its side will be cited. The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
No one else was hurt.
Sergeant Chris Colbert with the Ohio State Highway Patrol says the accident could have been avoided.
“It’s a good reminder when you’re driving especially on a congested morning good work traffic that you need to pay attention to what’s going on and allow yourself plenty of following distance between you and the vehicles that are stopping,” he added, “you have to kind of anticipate this kind of stuff.”
Needmore Road was closed at Wadsworth for about an hour and a half. It has since re-opened.
