KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – A busy day in store for most sports bars and restaurants tomorrow.
So, will the threat of a severe snow storm freeze business?
Well, more than a hundred million people are expected to be watching the face-off between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
Gary Haines, an Oakood resident is one of them.
“I get excited, I have fun, we party and have a good time at home” said Haines.
Whether you’re in it for the commercials or just to keep from being side-lined in conversation.
The big game is a money maker for area sports bars, like Buffalo Wild Wings, but will the threat of heavy snow impact business?
“People are excited about coming in, I don’t think the weather is going to effect us with the food, beer and sports we provide for everybody” said Corey LeMaster, Buffalo Wild Wings kitchen manager.
If people dine in or not, there’s always carry-out.
“A good 2/3rd of our business is from carry out” said LeMaster.
Thats why the restaurant is stacking the box, putting 8 take-out employees behind the cash registers.
But with or without the snow – their play book is ready for kickoff.
“A lot of excitement, we talked about, we talked about, we talked about, its time to get going, we’re pretty excited and anxious for everybody to come in” said LeMaster.
In case you were wondering who Gary Haines is rooting for…
“I’m looking for the New England Patriots to win” said Haines.
Buffalo Wild Wings employees say the sooner you get your order in, the better. They are expected a lot of carry-out and dine-in orders.
