Victim calls police after he says shots fired

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a man said someone fired shots at him.

Police were called to the 400 block of Lexington Avenue Friday after 11:30 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they said the victim came running out of his home. He told officers he had gone outside of his home earlier in the evening when he saw the suspect walking towards his house. He said the suspect pointed a handgun at him and then fired four rounds directly at him. The victim said the suspect then fired shots into the air before fleeing the scene.

The victim was not hit by any bullets.

Police said they did not find any damage from the shots fired and no shell casings were found at the scene.
