Shooting victims identified in Trotwood

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Trotwood police said they are investigating a shooting that took place in the parking lot of the Halftime Grill on Salem avenue early Friday morning.

Police say two people where shot and there were multiple scenes to investigate. They have been identified as Cameron Harris, 19, and Jonathan Clemons, 24. Harris was shot in the lower jaw and has been released from the hospital. Clemons was shot in the left back shoulder area and was listed in stable condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Police said the two men claim they were shot near the restaurant and then ran to a house nearby where they called for help.

Police said they found multiple gun shell casings in the park lot. They also found a nearby car crash at Route 49 and Shiloh Springs Road where multiple windows were broken out from what appeared to be gunfire.

The investigation is still ongoing however police said it is believe the incident was a result of some type of illegal drug activity.  Officers told 2 News both victims have a history of arrests for drug activity.
