WASHINGTON D.C. (WDTN) – The Dayton Flyers fell 65-64 to the George Washington Colonials after a put-back shot was converted as time expired.
In overtime, Davis sank a three to help Dayton take a 64-63 lead with 6.6 seconds to go. After the initial shot was blocked by Pierre, GW’s Joe McDonald got the offensive rebound and hit the game-winner from a few feet out.
Dayton drops to 17-5 overall and 7-3 in the Atlantic 10. George Washington, who is now 10-0 at home this season.
UD was 19-of-23 from the charity stripe, but shot 41 percent from the floor and 30 percent from three-point range.
