Springfield police make quick arrest for bank robbery

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Springfield police are investigating a bank robbery and it didn’t take long to make an arrest.

Officers were called to the PNC Bank at 2025 East Main Street in Springfield just after 12:30 p.m. Friday.

They say a man walked up to a teller and handed her a note demanding money.

He did not have a weapon.

Police identified the suspect late Friday afternoon. They arrested Aaron Salyers, 32, of Springfield.

He is now being held in the Clark County Jail, charged with robbery.
