EATON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Preble County man is accused of shooting a man in the face.

Deputies say the victim, Kevin Creech, 24, of Eaton, showed up at the sheriff’s office with wounds to the face.

He told deputies he was picking up property on Saturday that belonged to his girlfriend at a house in the 3800 block of Bantas Creek Road.

The three got into an argument and that is when Creech was shot with rubber pellets from a 12 gauge shotgun.

He was treated and released for his injuries.

David Shindeldecker, 40, is now facing charges of felonious assault, domestic violence and having a weapon under disability.

Deputies say he was already under indictment for a separate felony case and was not allowed to have a firearm.

He is being held in the Preble County Jail pending formal charges. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
