Help local firefighters ‘fight for air’

CLEARCREEK TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Some Warren County firefighters are asking for your help to “fight for air.”

The Clearcreek Township Fire Department, which serves both the City of Springboro and Clearcreek Township, is planning to participate in the American Lung Association’s Firefighter Stair Climb Sunday, February 15th.

This is the fourth year the department has participated.

They’ll be racing against other teams of firefighters while climbing the 45-story Carew Tower in Cincinnati. They’ll be doing it while wearing 75 pounds of firefighting gear.

Their goal is to raise $10,000 for the American Lung Association. To help accomplish that, they’re asking people to sponsor each flight of stairs for $10.
