TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Work at the Syncreon plant in Trotwood is scheduled to begin winding down today.

The General Motors parts plant announced a couple of weeks ago that the first wave of layoffs begins February 13.

The plant is expected to close for good March 1.

About 50 employees will be let go.

The company says the layoffs are linking to a lack of demand for products. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
