Fire prompts hotel evacuation

Ramada on Wagner Ford Rd. evacuated

HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Guests at the Ramada Plaza on Wagner Ford Rd. were evacuated early Friday morning when the building filled with smoke.

Police officers went door to door, alerting guests to the fire and telling them to leave their rooms. Firefighters went floor by floor, searching for the cause of the smoke.

2 NEWS reporter Jake Ryle saw many guests standing in the lobby, while others left to find somewhere else to stay.

We’re told the smoke was from a mulch fire outside the hotel.
