VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is looking for a hit and run driver that triggered crashes on Interstate 75 Friday morning.

Troopers say the car was speeding on southbound I-75 near the Northwoods Boulevard exit. They say it came upon slower traffic and hit a car in the middle lane, spinning it into the median.

The speeding car then hit another car and kept on driving.

Traffic was backed up for some distance, but the lanes have since re-opened and traffic is moving again.

Troopers are actively searching for the runaway car. They say they have a good description provided by witnesses.

No one was hurt.
