DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The University of Dayton’s Donoher Center at UD Arena is getting a makeover.
Danis Building Construction announced that it will be construction manager of the project.
“The University is focused on improving their facilities to attract the top recruits in the country,” said John Danis, chairman and CEO of Danis Building Construction Company. “Our company has been fortunate in managing a number of projects for the University of Dayton and it is our privilege to provide the highest quality construction and construction management to support the University’s goals and objectives.”
The project will renovate the men’s and women’s basketball teams area at the arena.
Danis says the specifics and design of the new look are being worked out.
The Donoher Center includes team locker rooms, the McHale Auditorium and training rooms for both football and basketball.
It is a 22,000 square foot facility named for beloved Flyer basketball coach, Don Donoher. Donoher was just named to the Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
The project is estimated at $2.2-million.
