Garcia pleads guilty in drunk driving fatality

MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – The man charged with causing a deadly crash in Moraine pleaded guilty in court Wednesday.

Only 2 NEWS cameras were there as Efrain Garcia, 24, pleaded guilty to vehicular assault and aggravated vehicular homicide.

He faces as much as nine and a half years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for February 24.

Prosecutors say Garcia was driving without a license when he made an illegal U-turn and smashed into the victim’s car.

His blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
