AC theft caught on camera, suspect arrested

Joseph Massie is facing several charges related to metal thefts from several businesses and churches.

CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Clark County deputies arrest a man after a slew of air conditioner thefts across the county.

Deputies released surveillance video from one of those thefts at North Hills Church on Moorefield Road.

In the video, you can see a van pull up to the side of the building. Someone gets out of the van and load’s the unit into the back.

Deputies say after the van drove off they arrested the driver, 34 year old Joseph Massie.

They say he admitted to stealing metal from several AC units at churches and businesses around Clark County.

He’s facing five counts of felony theft, five counts of felony vandalism and one count of possession of criminal tools.

He’s expected in court Thursday morning.
