WPAFB, Ohio (WDTN) – 300 area STEM students participated in National Engineer’s Week at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
The field trip put the students’ love of math and science to work.
“We hope that it’s a lot of fun. We hope that it doesn’t feel like a day of work for them. We hope that they come to this and they can say this is what I want to do every day for the rest of my life,” said Major Christina Rusnock, USAF.
Students spent the day in demonstrations ranging from quadcopters to building Lego robots to building bridges.
