COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) – The number of concealed carry licenses issued in Ohio in 2014 dropped from 2013.
According to the Attorney General’s office, there were 58,066 new licenses issued and 52,146 licenses renewed in 2014. In 2013, 96,972 new licenses were issued and 48,370 were renewed.
“The large number of license renewals reflects the significant number of licenses that were issued five years ago and were up for renewal last year, ” said Attorney General, Mike DeWine.
There was 87,276 fewer licences issued and renewed in 2014 compared to 2013.
