Cell phones, money stolen from gas station smash and grab

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after someone broke into the Marathon gas station after hours.

Police were called to the Marathon gas station located at 1845 North Main Street around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Workers told police they arrived to find the front glass door and a glass display case smashed. They said there were cell phones missing from the case. Employees said both cash registers were open and $450 was stolen.

Workers said they closed the store just before 12:30 a.m. and believe the suspects broke in sometime after that.

Police found the security door had been pried open and a brick had been used to smash the glass.

No arrests have been made.
