TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) — An indoor market in Tipp City is giving patrons and vendors the chance to escape the winter blues while also giving back to the community.
From soaps, to candles, to jewelry, and food the One Market in Tipp City has it all. CrossRoads Christian Fellowship welcomed buyers and sellers alike to the indoor winter market Saturday afternoon.
“The inspiration behind this is an opportunity to connect with the community,” said the associate pastor Aadam Adkins.
Vendors like Karen Purke escaped the cold while warming taste buds with her homemade spices. Purke is the owner of McGuffey Herb and Spice Company. She’s been selling her own mixes for about two years now.
“It’s a really wonderful way to support local entrepreneurs that are offering their goods here,” said Purke.
But One Market is more than just a flea market; it’s also a free market.
Folks in need can get food, clothing, and household items all for free. Organizers said all of the items available in the free market are donated.
One Market also teamed with One Bistro, the pay-what-you-can restaurant in Miamisburg. For a donation of $6, patrons can get a hot meal while paying it forward.
The church said it’s all part of its outreach efforts.
“We’re just living and sharing the love we’ve been given, and we want to offer that to the community,” said Adkins.
The market will be held every second and fourth Saturday through March, April, and May from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
