Chase suspect arrested in Florida

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Police Department along with the U.S. Marshals SOFAST Task Force arrested a man on the run from Montgomery County.

Officers got a tip that Phillip Hanson-Bass was in Miami, Florida. They arrested him there early Tuesday afternoon.

He was wanted for felonious assault and drug charges connected to a high speed chase in Harrison Township last week. He is now also facing fleeing and eluding charges.

Hanson-Bass is being held in a Florida jail awaiting an extradition hearing.
