Dayton school bus driver says he didn’t do it

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton bus driver accused of a sex crime was arraigned Thursday.

James Mays, Jr. pleaded not guilty to a count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

The victim is said to be 15 years old.

Mays is currently on leave from the Dayton Public School District pending the outcome of the case.

He is out of jail on his own recognizance and was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Mays is a 19 year employee of the district.

His next court appearance is scheduled for March 19.
