UNION CITY, Ohio (WDTN) — A traffic stop in Darke County resulted in a man being arrested Saturday afternoon.
Police stopped a speeding vehicle Saturday around 12:35 p.m. in Union City.
Officers said they found Carlos Eugene Trueblood II in the backseat and discovered Trueblood had an active warrant out of Darke County for abusing harmful intoxicants.
Officers said they informed him of his warrant and ordered him to step out of the vehicle. They said he refused to comply, so officers tried to remove him from the vehicle. They said he began to kick and he anchored himself to an empty child seat.
Police tased Trueblood and took him into custody. He was booked into the Darke County Jail on charges of resisting arrest and failure to appear.
