K9 Karson is back on the job

WILMINGTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The police dog whose disappearance prompted a two month long search is now back on the job.

Karson went back to work for the Wilmington Police Department Monday alongside his partner Officer Jerry Popp.

Karson went missing from a boarding kennel around Christmastime. Multiple searches worked to find him.

Finally, two months later, success. Karson came home a bit skinnier, but healthy overall.

The community outpouring has been overwhelming. There have been parties and gatherings in Karson’s honor.

Karson’s Facebook page has chronicled his adventure as he trained to get back to work.
