GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – An Ohio man is spending this week in jail for an OVI conviction.

Court records show that Brent Obringer, 26, started a five day sentence Sunday in the Darke County Jail. He must then serve 15 days under house arrest and pay court costs and fines.

Obringer was arrested in December 2014 after he struck a police cruiser head on with his pickup truck along Sweitzer Street.

Officer Jennifer Freeman was hospitalized, but has since recovered from her injuries.
