DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The boycott, divestment and sanctions movement is calling on the international community to pressure Israel, economically.
The movement first started in the early 2000’s.
Today, 2 NEWS met with a speaker from the Israel Action Network, who says he’s calling for peace.
“Our main role in this conflict is to find ways where we as Americans can be legitimate constructive peace makers. If we truly seek an environment of cooperation, we have to find ways to bring the parties together and not divide them further. Hopefully, in that way, we can find a complete and just resolution to a conflict after so many years” explained Noam Gilboord, Israel Action Network director of community strategy.
The movement includes boycotting items made in Israel or the U.S. that indirectly support Israeli soldiers.
