2 arrested for OVI in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) — Two people were arrested for OVI in Middletown following a checkpoint and saturation patrols.

The checkpoint was held Friday on Verity Parkway near 18th Avenue.

According to officials, 586 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Four vehicles were diverted to be tested for suspicion of OVI, but none of them were found to be operating under the influence. Two drivers were cited for driving under suspension and two misdemeanor warrant arrests were made.

The saturation patrols made two OVI arrests, issued one seat belt citation, one open container citation, three speed citations, three other moving violation citations and one minor misdemeanor drug citation.
