DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A Dayton woman is behind bars following a stabbing.

Police were called to the 1500 block of West Second Street after 5 p.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived on scene, they met with the victim in the basement where he had reportedly been stabbed in the wrist.

He told police he was upstairs playing video games with the woman’s son after he cleaned the house per her request. He said the woman complained that the basement wasn’t clean, so he and the children cleaned it and then returned to playing video games.

He stated during that time, the woman’s two son’s got into an argument about some video game cords and the woman began yelling at them and the victim. He told police the woman slapped his hand and began getting in his face when he told her not to treat him like one of her children. He told police she then grabbed a kitchen knife, swung it at him and missed, and then stabbed him in the wrist.

Police interviewed one of the children who witnessed the incident. She told them the victim and the woman got into an argument about video game cords and he “put his hands” on the woman like he was going to choke her, which was why the woman grabbed a knife.

Catrina Wilson, 36, was booked into jail on charges of felonious assault and domestic violence.
