DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman was arrested after police said she sprayed her ex-boyfriend with mace inside the Hollywood Casino.

Police were called to the casino at 3100 Needmore Road after 4 a.m. Sunday.

The security office said they had video of a woman pepper spraying a man near the casino bathrooms.

Police spoke with the victim. He said that he and his new girlfriend were at the casino playing slots when his ex-girlfriend came up and started talking to him. He said when he went to the bathroom, she followed him. He told police when he came out of the restroom, she stepped into his path and wouldn’t let him pass. He said when he tried to walk away, she sprayed him with mace.

He was wearing glasses so his vision wasn’t badly impaired by the pepper spray, according to police.

Sophia Greene, 38, was arrested on assault charges.

Greene told police she feared for her safety, which was why she sprayed him in the face with mace.

Greene is expected in court Monday.
