Marshals arrest cop impersonation suspect in KY

Jason Harrold is wanted for impersonating police officers in Harrison Township.

COVINGTON, Kentucky (WDTN) – The man wanted for impersonating a police officer is in custody.

The US Marshals’ SOFAST Task Force took Jason Harrold into custody at a Covington, Kentucky area hotel.

He is currently in a Kentucky jail awaiting extradition back to the Miami Valley.

Harrold was wanted for pretending to be a cop at least twice in our area. Deputies say he would approach someone acting like an officer then end up robbing the victim.

Charges against Harrold include impersonation of a police officer, kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

Police warned citizens during their search that Harrold was armed and dangerous.
